Should You Buy Used Mitsubishi Buses?

:: Posted by - admin :: Category - Bus
If you are looking for a  Japanese used bus for sale, why not consider the Mitsubishi? Over the past months following the deadly earthquake and tsunami in Japan, Japanese automakers have been slowing down on their production output so even if you want a brand new Japanese bus, you might be surprised. There are not many around, and the prices have gone up. The Japanese used bus for sale is a good option.
Japanese used bus for sale
In selecting the perfect used bus, base your decision not only on mechanical and road worthiness but also on length and the seating capacity. Japanese buses also have different engine, body, and chassis.

The main issues with buying used are the added concerns. Here are some of the more common issues you will have to address:

Modifications or Stock?

Has the used bus been modified in any way or is it still with its original parts? Modifications are difficult in the sense that you may not know how to handle the repairs when it’s needed. At best, you should get the complete history of the bus, what was done, parts replaced, and why it was done.

Bus Manual and Paperwork

A used bus from Japan will generally mean that the manual is written in Japanese. If so, ask for an English translation or version. You also have to check A to Z on the paperwork in bringing in the bus. It doesn’t matter that you did not import it yourself. At the end of the day, you’re holding the paperwork and so you may be liable if something is amiss.

It would also be advisable to deal with those who have been in the business a while. It’s easy to ask around and verify the used bus dealers.

Check Insurance

Before paying for the bus, talk to your insurance provider if there will be any problem insuring the bus. Settle these before paying for the bus or any fees or down payments that may be asked from you.

After Sales Service and Repair

One of your biggest concerns should be after the sale and you have the used bus with you. Are there shops close by that sell spare parts? Is there a mechanic familiar with the brand and model?

Mitsubishi Tires? Tire Tips To Know

:: Posted by - admin :: Category - Tires
Technically, there are no Mitsubishi tires. Mitsubishi uses tires from other companies and the actual tire brand, size and model used becomes complicated for these reasons:
Mitsubishi_Tire
First, each country has its own regulations on car tires. This means if you are bringing in a car from Japan or Europe, everything about the car has to conform with the rules and regulations of the country you’re living in.

Second, tires sold in Asia or Europe may not be available in the U.S., or vice versa. Again, this would imply that you have to find a compatible set of tires for the import.

Third, if you are buying a brand new car from your local dealer, the tires would be geared towards both the factory specifications and the national rules and regulations on auto safety. This would include the tires.

In the case of Mitsubishi, they use different tire sizes and models for specific cars. In short, you won’t see the same tires on an Evo as you would on a Mitsubishi Galant. In case you are planning to buy tires, here are some solid tips to help you out.

The factors that affect your purchase should be safety, tread, price, availability, driving habits, reputation, noise reduction, fuel economy, load, and appearance. Stick to this and prioritize it according to what is important to you but your number one factor should always be safety. This means no buying used tires or made from inferior quality.

All tires have anywhere from 19 to 25 parts. Each part is engineered to soften the impact of the road on the vehicle passengers. You don’t need to know every part except the fact that on each tire there should be a code. This alphanumeric code should describe the tire’s dimensions. This makes it easy for you to match your existing tires with the replacement. Make sure the load rating is as high or you will have a problem.

If you want to replace your worn tires with originals, go to the dealer. You will pay more than if you approach a local tire store in your area. The difference with the dealer and the local tire store would be service, price, and speed in replacing the tires.

Your driving habits will also determine your choice of tire. If you like driving on rough terrain or enjoy a soft, comfy ride, then tell that to your tire dealer. Some prefer to use oversized tires to achieve a masculine appearance. Not many know that larger tires can also improve how the car handles.
Finally, it would be a good idea to shop around, talk to same car owners and get feedback. Tire safety is very important and can prevent sliding, swerving, and the driver losing control of the vehicle.

Looking For Exceptional Japanese Fleet Cars

:: Posted by - admin :: Category - Truck
Whether its for taxi/limousine service or delivery requirements, Japanese vehicles are usually the first to be considered. The fact is whether brand new or Japanese used trucks for sale, these vehicles are reliable and fuel efficient. No one wants to deal with a truck or taxi broken down in the middle of nowhere at early dawn or late at night. Business require that their fleet be inexpensive to maintain and not sensitive to a particular style of driving. With Japanese used trucks for sale, fleet business owners don’t have to be that picky if the driver is a clutch driver, likes to use the brakes a lot, or tends to push the gas pedal. Japanese cars and trucks can handle any kind of driving as long as its not abusive.

However, did you know that Honda will soon be coming out with an even more fuel efficient car? Right now, they are the only automaker with a Honda Civic powered by natural gas in the U.S. By end of this year or early next year, Honda will be introducing a new CNG-fueled Honda Civic.

Fleet business owners know that a car fueled by CNG which is compressed natural gas. Three years ago, there were too many issues about using CNG which appear to have been solved by Honda. If not CNG, then the next best alternative for fleet cars would be to modify their trucks or cars to using LPG.

LPG which is used for cooking is cheaper and considered cleaner than gas or diesel. If you come across a gas station that says Autogas, that’s an LPG filling station. The main concern before about LPG tanks is their size, bulk, and the fact that it can’t be used on all car models. Also while there may be less taxes imposed on LPG, road tax on LPG-fueled cars are higher because of the hydrocarbon emissions.

This brings us back to CNG for fleet cars, and the UK market for fleet cars increased by almost 5% last year. The total market on UK’s new car registrations show a high 55.6% for alternative fuel for cars.

Mitsubishi Fuso Launches New Rosa Light Bus

:: Posted by - admin :: Category - Bus
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Company (MFTBC) which concentrates mainly on commercial vehicles has come out with a new light bus. This Rosa bus is a revolutionary model with advanced technology not seen in Mitsubishi cars or buses. It will be ready for launch internationally towards the last quarter of this year. It will be available in Japan earlier. Although most people are familiar with Mitsubishi cars, the commercial vehicle line is very much in demand globally. This is why MFTBC has been intent on improving its product line up and come up with a new bus that will usher in a new trend.

The Rosa bus is going to have a 6 speed automatic dual clutch manual transmission with a 3.0 liter diesel engine.  It will be the first light bus t have this kind of transmission. This technology is called the Duonic transmission and it will reduce fuel consumption on short distances by as much as 3%.

In preparation for the introduction to the international market Mitsubishi Fuso added the Economic commission for Europe (ECE) regulation to be implemented next year for 3-point seatbelts for all passengers. These seatbelts will have automatic retraction according to the international standards dictated by Europe and the US.

The new Rosa light bus will also be equipped with the BlueTec reduction system for emissions. When tested, it surpassed expectations and met the 2015 standard of Japan on fuel efficiency for heavy-duty buses and trucks. According to Mitsubishi Fuso’s vice president, Akio Suehiro, “We believe the vehicle delivers highest environmental performance and excellent fuel efficiency while offering great driving pleasure and comfort for the passengers.” Suehiro stressed the importance Mitsubishi Fuso feels regarding green technology and the increasing oil crisis the world is now facing.

Knowing the Japanese penchant for the understatement, the international market is looking forward with hungry anticipation for the Rosa light bus. It isn’t just the new technology and design but a strong signal that Japan is firmly back in the driver’s seat and moving forward. After the disaster that struck the island of Japan early this year, fears of a global economic crisis practically stalled business everywhere. Now it seems that Japan is recovering and the Rosa bus is a great way to go forward.

Car Sector Finds Sales Recovery To Be A Bumpy Ride

Japanese used cars for sale

The lowering of import duties on motor vehicles has greatly moved the auto industry business. This has also affected the importation of Japanese used cars for sale, but not so much on Japan’s sales of used cars. The March incident had increased the demand for used cars by the locals competing intensively with importers in the market. Apparently, the new tax rates have helped new investors in the car industry. For new-car sellers say, “It has given their business a needed shot in the arm”. Finance Minister Audley Shaw has claimed that the lowering of import duties on motor vehicles has acted as “stimulus” for the auto sector, but traders on one side of the market, used vehicles, say the uptick in business seen in May has already petered out. “There has been a little increase associated to the change in duties – I would say 10 to 12 per cent increase,” said Ken Shaw, a former president of the Jamaica Used Car Dealers Association.

When duties on car imports was cut in May this year, which include the cut  in the Common External Tariff  (CET) on car imports from 40 percent to 20 percent, the prices on cars in-stock has been reduced. Car dealers then work on the new stocks to balance the prices on the new imports.  The positive result was noted in Jamaica, where imports have raised by 745 units between January and July.  In July alone the import has been doubled from the average of 668 units per months to 1,028 units. In the first few months of 2011, there has been an increase of 17% on vehicle imports.

However, this has not affected much the auto industry in Japan after the quake-tsunami disaster.  The price of used cars in Japan has gone expensive because the local Japanese is now competing with businessmen in the bid for used cars. Likewise, the supply of cars in Japan was disturbed and still very uncertain when it will come to life again. Now, dealers have turned their attention to other suppliers, like the USA. However, the left hand drive feature of their vehicles had posed problems. They are now eyeing the possibility to import used cars from Singapore, but up to now, there is no noted greater importation in Singapore.

Whether you plan to buy a used Toyota Land Cruiser Prado or Mitsubishi Pajero, both the SUV’s have style and class. While both the Mitsubishi Pajero and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado are extremely close competitors, both have proved their good quality and performance over the years. The SUV’s are incredibly stylish and are extremely good value for money!

There are several reviews which have raved about the roomy and versatile interior of the Mitsubishi Pajero. Apart from that the car has immense amount of power and is stable and rock solid! While the Prado has also proved its strength and stability over the years, it is less roomies in comparison to the Pajero. However when it comes to the looks, the Prado has a bolder and braver look when compared to the Pajero. This is a huge advantage to the Prado, since usually the other cars belonging to the Toyota clan have a friendly, generic and safer look!

The Pajero has immense capability to handle the 4* 4 trails, whether it is moderate or rough roads. However there are several Prado driving ads which reflect on the car’s hill descent control, hill ascent crawl which provides the car with an edge in case of harder 4*4 road trails. Both the Pajero and the Prado have traction and stability control, motile air bags, ABS-EBD brakes as standard features.

In case of power, the Pajero has a slight edge since the engine is a bigger size. Thus the latter makes it marginally stronger that the mid range power. The Pajero has an increased response and a better five speed automatic transmission. However research and trends have shown that the resale value of the Prado is more that the Pajero. The problem with the Pajero in this case is that they have several Subic converted version which are in use and end up messing up with the resale price of the Pajero models including the original left hand one too.

The Pajero has been reviewed to have a slighter higher value for money when compared to the Prado. The fuel economy in both cases is slightly above average.

On an overall basis both the SUV’s have immense grasp and capability on the roads whether it be rough terrain or twisted mountain roads. Thus the beauty of the two SUV’s lies in being able to handle moderate and rough roads with equal ease. Lastly both the SUV’s have proven to be excellent buys!
