Should You Buy Used Mitsubishi Buses?

In selecting the perfect used bus, base your decision not only on mechanical and road worthiness but also on length and the seating capacity. Japanese buses also have different engine, body, and chassis.
The main issues with buying used are the added concerns. Here are some of the more common issues you will have to address:
Modifications or Stock?
Has the used bus been modified in any way or is it still with its original parts? Modifications are difficult in the sense that you may not know how to handle the repairs when it’s needed. At best, you should get the complete history of the bus, what was done, parts replaced, and why it was done.
Bus Manual and Paperwork
A used bus from Japan will generally mean that the manual is written in Japanese. If so, ask for an English translation or version. You also have to check A to Z on the paperwork in bringing in the bus. It doesn’t matter that you did not import it yourself. At the end of the day, you’re holding the paperwork and so you may be liable if something is amiss.
It would also be advisable to deal with those who have been in the business a while. It’s easy to ask around and verify the used bus dealers.
Check Insurance
Before paying for the bus, talk to your insurance provider if there will be any problem insuring the bus. Settle these before paying for the bus or any fees or down payments that may be asked from you.
After Sales Service and Repair
One of your biggest concerns should be after the sale and you have the used bus with you. Are there shops close by that sell spare parts? Is there a mechanic familiar with the brand and model?
